Bag opens and closes with a metal internal frame. This is a very sturdy bag that won't flop over on you, even when empty.

I quilted the travel print before making the bag, it's really nice and cushy and is surrounded with a blue brick red rusty tapestry fabric.

Lined in red corduroy with gold and dark brick red damask design pockets. 

One side of the bag has 2 very large deep padded pockets, 1 of which fits my Samsung tablet, and the other is great for chargers and accessories. The other side of the bag has 6 generous pockets in various sizes spanning across the width of the bag. A key clip is also included inside the bag attached to the lining. 

The bottom of the bag is absolutely super firm and will not cave in on you having a nicely padded board covered with the pockets fabric.

Bag measurements are:

17 1/2" wide

16 1/2" tall

7" depth between the front and back of bag

Super firm secure handles with 6 1/2" drop

Six generous copper toned feet protect the bottom of the bag

Super firm padded and fabric covered bottom support

Comes with an additional coordinating zipper bag, measurements:

13" wide

9 1/4" high

3" depth between front and back of bag

Inside this bag has matching lining and pockets in the gold and brick red damask. A total of 6 pockets inside this bag in various sizes.
